Hip Rotation happens every time our spine moves! The hip joint is made up of the femur and pelvis. Since the pelvis attaches into the spine, they function together. Some of these muscles include obturators, piriformis, quadratus femoris, gemellus, gluteus maximus, medius, and minimus muscles. Hip rotator muscles help us to flex & stabilize the spine as help us to move our legs away from the midline of the body. These exercises will also help to protect the knee joint from injury.
The Yoga Blocks raise the floor into our hands to make the positions more accessible. The small band is a great resistance application to help us get more from the exercises. As always, modifications and cues are given to ensure that you can move through the positions safely. As strength improves, so will your flexibility!
