In this core workout, the magic circle and sponge ball are used to strengthen the hip musculature for improved range of motion. These exercises are adapted from the original 34 Pilates Mat exercises.
The Power House was not only a way to describe the abdominal and back muscles, but muscles that attach to the pelvis, femur, and lower leg. The hip muscles transfer forces directly into the trunk and spine. You will notice that when your hips are stronger, the trunk can move more freely. This video is well-paced and easy to follow. You will achieve better balance, improved hip stability, improved posture, and a feeling of stability in your spine.
