On the Ball

1h 8m
This 60 minute workout is designed to strengthen muscles that flex, rotate, side-bend, and extend spinal joints in a variety of positions for better overall core strength. The focus is to expose and strengthen muscle imbalances by improving contraction responsiveness. The instability of the the ball requires the use of trunk and spine muscles in the roles of stability as well as mobility.
The flowing nature of the ball will allow for smoother transitions so that we can make positioning easier. Those dealing with a chronic spinal-related issues will notice that the ball can make exercise feel more supported. The material of the ball itself can provide resistance at the same time. Not only that, the ball will allow for greater resisted range of motion in virtually every position. This is truly a mindful experience in control, and appropriate for all levels.
