18-Aug-2024
This dynamic warm-up is designed to help prepare the body for exercise to avoid injury, help evaluate your available range of motion, and wake up your muscles. This is a standing routine that does not require youi to get down onto the ground. No equipment needed! As soon as you start moving:
Your body temperature increases
Blood vessels and tiny capillaries open up to increase blood supply to the muscles
The blood releases more oxygen that you will need for your workout.
Your muscles contract more easily and start to generate heat.
Your joints become more mobile.
Your brain engages with the body, clearing the mind to prepare to exercise.
Your heart rate will increase slowly.
Use this any time! As a way to wake up, prepare for exercise, come down from an intense workout, or as an exercise routine to wake you up!
