In this Yoga and Pilates fusion class, practice six different combinations each choreographed for their similarity in joint motion and muscle recruitment. See how the moving eccentric-concentric focus of the chosen Pilates exercises actually enhances our ability to stay strong with increased joint stability in the chosen Yoga poses.
The Yoga pose is first introduced so that we can evaluate our ability to perform. We then move through 2-3 applicable Pilates exercises using bodyweight and a thigh band. A support will be used in this workout to assist with balancing.
At the end of the sequence, the goal pose is practiced again. You should see improvments in concentration, muscle contractions, muscle recruitment, balance and overall joint mobility.
