In this workout, we will focus on a very important set of muscles that not only flex the hip, but also straighten the knee. Hip flexor muscles include the psoas major, iliacus, tensor fascia latae, and rectus femoris. The quadriceps also extend the knee, making it straight. These are an essential part of core strength!
Beginning on the floor, a blanket (or a rolled up towel) placed under the knee can help contract the knee muscles. Then, we will move into some effective standing exercises forcused on leg raises, squat variations, and lunge variations using a chair for support. You will fee empowered after this workout!
