If you suffer from Chronic Pain and Inflammation in the Hips, this short chair fitness video can be a way to start you on your journey of healing. This short, gentle routine begins with a breath-work meditation to lower emotional stress and anxiety associated with chronic pain. Learn several effective exercises to strengthen hip joints while seated from the chair using bodyweight, and (optional) sponge ball and thigh band. Progress to a brief standing segment with some isometrics to combat sedentary lifestyles with cues and detailed information about the role of hip muscles.
“Inflammation” is the vital part of the body’s immune response to attempt to heal itself after injuries or foreign invaders. Over exercising can make inflammation worse. This is particularly problematic for someone dealing with rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, or auto-immune issues. Regular participation in moderate, appropriate exercise can enhance certain aspects of the immune system and lower the markers of systematic inflammation.
