As we age, the goal is to maintain our muscles by adding load and improving contractions. In this fourth video of the Build program, we are focusing on the lower body. Using a chair to assist us in our balance, we will perform several isolated multi-joint positions using isometrics from standing to the floor. These will target the lower body to build heat and improve mobility.
Next we will move into some multi-joint lower body exercises with dumbbells. Here is a general summary:
Hip flexion isometrics
Integrated isometrics with lunges
Prone hip extension
Bridge Calisthenics
Rear lunges with dumbbells
RDL isometrics
RDL with dumbbells
Front squat with Dumbbells
Sumo Squats with Dumbbells
