This resistance training routine uses a stability ball as a platform for muscle growth. The ball can act as an amazing tool to help support the joints, add resistance, and cause us to have to react to the moving surface. It is considered to be an unstable surface, but it can also make exercise feel much more comfortable.
Adding dumbbells to the ball makes for an extra fun way to train muscles in many traditional exercises. We will do seated, sidelying, prone, supine, and standing balance exercises in this routine as the trunk and spine work to stabilize the body against the moving ball. Enjoy this workout as you transition from one exercise to the next. All levels welcome, as modifications will be given.
