As we age, the goal is to maintain our muscles by adding load and improving contractions. In this second video of the Build program, we are focusing on the upper body. We will warm up with some essential flexion, retraction, protraction, adduction, and abduction shoulder isometrics. We will then do some multi-joint positions to integrate these isometrics from a seated position.
We will combine these isometrics with calisthenics to incorporate some core training. While working on these calisthenics, we will begin to add dumbbells for some chest, back, shoulder, biceps, and triceps exercises.
