The foot is the foundation and is influenced by other joints in the body as well as the floor. The foot, ankle and lower leg adapt to the ground by pronating and supinating, causing the knee, hip, spine, and shoulder to take on similar motions.
In this therapeutic strength routine, we will look at ankle dorsiflexion and plantar flexion as they relate to other joints in the body. We wil also address eversion, inversion, adduction, and abduction with a short tutorial and plenty of education throughout. As your feet become stronger, you will see greater range of motion in other joints.
For this workout, you will need a thigh band to create motions side to side, and a sponge ball for resistance and support.
