In Day 03 of the "Better Back Challenge", we are progressing from the chair to standing exercises, as we explore our range of motion by using a yoga strap to improve muscle strength. This video is packed full of some of the most effective back therapy yoga postures as we work to become stronger over a wider joint range that we typically use throughout our daily lives.
Yoga is commonly prescribed for back pain, but it is important to explore our own unique structure before jumping into Yoga poses. If practiced correctly, Yoga postures (asanas) can greatly enhance joint stability when using active range of motion vs. passive range of motion. The goal of this video is to reduce pain and improve mobility while learning to manage stress. Feel free to use a chair or wall in balance positions and move into joint ranges that are appropriate for you.
