In Day 02 of the Better Back Challenge, we will be using a small sponge ball with a chair to add resistance to our exercises from Day 01 with new exercise variations. The chair will again be used for support to make several common floor exercises feel more comfortable.
The sponge ball ("mini ball") will add challenge to the hips, knees, and thighs to improve hip strength to remove excessive stress from the spine. It is also used as a prop to enhance resisted range of motion in many of the exercises from Day 01.
If the ball becomes too much of a challenge, all of these exercises can be done with body weight alone until you get stronger. Enjoy many isometric, concentric, and eccentric back therapy exercises to reduce pain and improve mobility.
